Location information and Directions

Located in the heart of the Cap Sizun peninsula, Camping Pors Peron is ideally situated close to the main points of interest and tourist attractions. To the west is the infamous Pointe de Raz "The end of the Earth", where you can enjoy breathtaking scenery with views to the small island, Ile de Sein.

There are numerous coves and beaches in the area from the small and secluded coves, to the large open expanses of the beautiful Bay de Trespasses with it's rolling Atlantic waves ideal for both the beginner and advanced surfer or bodyboarder. There is also a public access slipway located 2km from the campsite.

From the Site travel just 6km to the fishing town of Audierne with its busy quayside and marina. Here you can meander through the various shops and dine in the cafes and restaurants which specialise in fish and shellfish. At Audierne you can also visit the Aqua Show which has an array of different fish, sea life and birds. 12km to the east of Pors Peron is the busy fishing port of Douarnenez which has many attractions including the Maritime Boat Museum and is hosting the Tall Ships Festival 2008 in July.

Slightly further afield is the cathedral city of Quimper, the beautiful and atmospheric village of Pont Aven, the chic but somehow unspoilt Benodet and the historic village of Locronan with its cobbled streets - a village that has survived the modern age.

As you can see there is something here for everyone whether you are a couple, family or group, with Camping Pors Peron as the focal point. If you wish for a holiday where you can camp in quiet and secluded surroundings, literally walking distance from a sandy cove you have come to the right place. From the town of Douarnenez follow the signs for Pointe du Van/ Poullan sur
Mer. Continue along the D7 passing through Poullan sur Mer village. After
approximately 6km you will enter the roadside hamlet 'Coat Pin' and you will
also see a large wind turbine on the right. You will then see a sign for
Pors Peron beach in 100m. Turn right at this turning thus putting the wind
turbine on your left and follow the road towards the beach. The campsite is
2km along this road on your left. If you enter the village of Beuzec Cap
Sizun then you have gone too far along the D7.
